Dr. Fred van Heel

Fred van Heel studied medicine at the Rijksuniversiteit in Leiden. After graduating in 1991, he specialised in Tropical Medicine and worked for years in Yemen and Zambia.

After his return to the Netherlands he found the exciting international aspect of medicine, in his work as a doctor, in the port of Rotterdam. Meanwhile, he has been working in the maritime industry for over 20 years and is well acquainted with all the challenges within this industry.
